My favorite time of day is late afternoon, between 4:30 to 5:30, when the day draws to a close. The temperature is just right–not too hot or too cold. There is usually a nice breeze blowing, and the sky presents the last glimpses of light as it bids the day good-bye. The best part is having the final rays of the sun turn everything into a soft shade of gold. The wonderful glow fills the air with nostalgia, that crossroad between sadness and joy.
Things feel mellow, as if the world has just heaved a huge sigh of relief for the end of another day. Even so, there is a promise in the air, a chance to look back at the day that was, and make things right in the coming day.
